Hair: Stick-straight, mostly ice blue in color, with the tips being seafoam green (this is natural, not dyed), and its length reaches her tailbone. Special Talent: Kara is extremely talented with machinery and technology all around, she can repair even a seemingly irreparable computer or car, though she is limited due to the costs of the equipment. She's also very adept at formulating strategies when it comes to dueling.

Fun Fact: Kara has a very intimidating stare, and she knows how to use it to get her way in various circumstances, such as getting people to leave her alone when she doesn't want to be bothered.
Personality: While her general appearance and consistently "bored" look may make her appear to be scary or mean, Kara is actually rather shy and bashful. She feels awkward around people she isn't comfortable with, so she plays up her "scary" appearance to try to get them to leave as soon as possible. However, if someone manages to break her wall of insecurity, they'll find that she's a very kind, loyal, and sweet-hearted girl. She's always willing to stick up for someone, even if she doesn't know them, as she feels that no one deserves to be bullied. It irritates her when people try to act tough to impress others, often leading to her calling them out on their act, which doesn't make her a very popular person among her peers. She's also very blunt and non-talkative, preferring to say what's on her mind and be done with it rather than beat around the bush to spare someone's feelings, also attributing to the idea that she's a cold person. She can't take compliments very well, especially in front of others. If complimented, she'll blush lightly and avoid eye contact with the person, giving a mere "thanks" before changing the subject.

Background: Kara was born to a very young American couple in Tokyo, Japan. They worked hard to provide for her, but found that they were barely able to even make ends meet, let alone care for an infant, so they regrettably made the decision to take her to an orphanage, leaving her in their care. They also chose to keep their identities anonymous as they felt ashamed that they couldn't care for her the way they should have.

Years later, Kara found herself still living in the orphanage, feeling like a defective child as no one ever showed interest in adopting her due to her non-Japanese origins or, if they did, they never ended up making the adoption official and always wound up bringing her back. Because of this, she began to close herself off from others, including her caregivers and the other children in the orphanage, feeling as though they too would end up not wanting to be with her. She stopped playing with the other children, afraid of being rejected by them, and started tinkering with do-it-yourself kits that allowed her to build things and entertain herself alone. One day, when she was ten years old, she saw some of the older children bullying a young boy, taking the toy the boy had and pushing him down. Furious, Kara decided to intervene, telling the bullies off and going so far as to get ready to fight them, when another boy jumped in and beat the bullies down. As the older boys took off, covered in bruises, the young boy ran to his savior, crying out his thanks and calling the hero "big brother." Satisfied that all worked out, Kara turned to take her leave when the older boy stopped her, thanking her for trying to help his little brother, Mokuba, and introducing himself as Seto. From then on, the caretakers at the orphanage noticed a change in Kara, seeing that she'd opened herself up to the brothers and played with them on a daily basis, even though she'd always been a loner before. Then, one day, Kara's happiness was shattered as her two best friends were adopted by the KaibaCorp CEO, Gozaburo Kaiba, and left her alone once again. The brothers had promised to keep in touch with her, which consoled Kara, however, she never received a single letter or phone call from either of them, and her calls were rejected whenever she tried to contact them, making her think that they didn't like her anymore. So, once again, Kara closed herself off to everyone, throwing all of her energy into her building kits, increasing their size and difficulty as she felt her skills improve.

Several months passed and Kara was still looked over and rejected each time a couple came to look for a child to adopt, which wasn't very often in the first place. Convinced there was something wrong with her, Kara eventually refused to even talk to any couples that showed interest in her, trying to steel herself against the feelings of rejection. One day, however, a couple arrived at the orphanage and saw Kara, feeling as though they needed to adopt her because a girl her age should know the feelings of a family's love, so they adopted her and took her to their home in Domino City. A full year went by and Kara still kept her distance from her new parents, Yoshi and Lillith Suichi, refusing to engage in a real conversation with them, even though they were very friendly people. On the day that marked the one-year anniversary of Kara's adoption, the Suichis gave her a gift, a pink heart-shaped necklace, saying that it signified their love for her and that it was a promise that they'd never send her away. Though she always believed words to be petty, something inside Kara made her believe her parents' words and she broke down in tears, apologizing to them for being a brat. From then on, Kara believed in her heart that the Suichis were the family she'd been waiting for, wearing their gift at all times and finally opening up to them, glad to finally have a place to call home.

A few years passed by and, though she had a happy home life, Kara was facing difficulties in school due to her lack of friends. Even though she'd become slightly more talkative and less brooding, she still suffered from severe shyness and would rarely speak more than she felt necessary, making her classmates believe that she was a cold and unfriendly person. On the day she entered high school, she came across a group of upperclassmen ganging up on who she thought was a middle schooler, that is, until she saw her school's uniform on the small boy, as well as the spiky, multicolored hair that belonged to her classmate, Yugi Muto. Irate that people would pick on a boy who had done nothing to them, Kara decided to intervene, calling out to the bullies and running to Yugi's side. The upperclassmen initially told Kara to get lost as it had nothing to do with her, but she ignored them, staring them down with an almost murderous glint to her eyes. After some time passed and Kara remained adamantly by Yugi's side, not taking her gaze off the bullies for an instant, the older boys lost interest and took off, saying that they'd take care of Yugi another day. When the bullies left, Kara made sure that Yugi was alright before wordlessly attempting to leave, but the kind-eyed boy stopped her, thanking her for helping him, though she tried to brush it off. Yugi then realized that she was in the same class as him and asked if she'd like to hang out with him and his friend Tea during lunch the next day, an offer which she reluctantly accepted. She quickly found herself lowering her walls to these people, and to many others as their small circle of friends grew rapidly. Kara found herself overwhelmed with happiness as she finally got everything she'd ever wanted: friends who would never abandon her, and whom she'd never abandon.
Edit: New ID pic for her and a bit of an update to her bio, as well as a new template and fixed grammar in some areas thanks to the help of :iconrikaishida:
